Frontier Airlines UX

Substandard-UX

I was recently flying on Frontier airlines, flying a new route to ILG, that they have introduced. The flight was 45 minutes delayed. They had anyone that had a carry on bag check in with the counter and have their bags measured. A short time later a person (not sure who he was or where he came from) with an agitated voice declare that carry-on bags were screwing everything up. They were causing all sorts of problems and that’s why everyone had to have their bags approved. He said it in a way that made us feel like we were the problem.

A User Experience observation… People carry on more bags because, you the airlines, now charge for checked bags. If you allowed even one checked bag for free you would cut down on the amount of carry ons. You have trained us to behave in a certain way and then complain that we are behaving that way. So before you blame us for your problems, remember that you have the power to solve it.

Think better... No Noise. RT @emollick: Noise pollution is worse than you think: a 10db noise increase (from dishwasher to vacuum) drops productivity by 5%. But YOU DON’T NOTICE: noise hurts your ability to think, not your effort. joshuatdean.com/wp-content/upl… pic.twitter.com/5AHL9zk7re 6 months ago
